FR// S'il existe mille raisons de s'évader à Londres, il est pourtant rare d'y rester plus de deux jours... Escapade en amoureux ou voyage business express, si vous êtes un tant soit peu épicurien, une expérience gastronomique vous attend tout près de Buckingham Palace. Que les choses soient claires, la Reine n'est pas de la party - elle célébrait malheureusement son anniversaire !Trêve de mystère, l'adresse dont je souhaite vous parler c'est l'Ametsa, le restaurant étoilé de l'hôtel Halkin by Como dont la chef Elena Arzak est à la tête. Après une traversée du hall, deux grandes portes ouvrent sur une salle intimiste bercée par la lumière du jour. L'intérieur est sobre, aéré à la manière d'un écrin qui renfermerait un délicieux trésor. Parfait pour se concentre sur les assiettes même si ce plafond aux airs de stalactites me dispersait de temps à autres. Au programme : cuisine espagnole. Un menu sur-mesure m'a été concocté pour satisfaire mon appétit végétarien mais sachez que c'est un lieu réputé pour son poisson. Nous avons été unanimes quant à notre assiette préférée : l'entée. Il s'agissait d'une composition de tapas gastronomiques multicolores. Chaque bouchée était une surprise sensorielle, d'abord visuelle puis gustative. Vous m'excuserez, je vous ai caché le dessert pour qu'il vous laisser un peu de mystère. Je vous laisse imaginer avec ma première photo ! Après une note de caféine, rien de plus agréable que de traverser les jardins de Buckingham pour aller se détendre dans le St James Park. Une promenade digestive on ne peut plus idyllique !

If you are an epicurean person you definitely have to live a gastronomic experience near Buckingham Palace during your romantic trip or business travel in London. Sorry but the Queen was celebrating her birthday so she was to busy to join me for lunch ! The place I am going to talk is a one Michelin Star restaurant situated in the Halkin by Como hotel. TheAmetsa with Arzak Instruction. You get inside after crossing the beautiful entrance of the hotel. I was totally charmed by the sleek and aerial interior design that makes the restaurant look like a delicate box in which a treasure is hidden. This atmosphere is perfect to catch your attention only on the plates even if I sometimes got drifted by the amazing stalactite-like ceiling. Lunch program: Spanish cuisine! I was concocted a customized menu by the chef to satisfy my vegetarian restrictions but you should be aware this place is renowned for cooking fish. My favorite dish was definitely the starter. It was a composition of multicolored gourmet tapas, based on vegetables for me and on seafood and fish for my companion. Each mouthful was quite like a sensory surprise : visually first then for my palate. . I am sorry but I chose to hide the dessert to mystery! You can imagine it thanks to the first picture :) We ended this gastronomic experience after a hint of caffeine then we were ready to enjoy a digestive walk from the Buckingham Gardens to go relax to St James Park. What an idylle!
